TemporoMandibular Joint (TMJ)

The TemporoMandibular Joint is the hinge at the side of the head that connects the lower jaw to the temporal bone of the skull.

One of the symptoms include; grinding or clenching the teeth, which puts a lot of pressure on the TMJ, dull, aching pain around the ears, which can radiate to the neck, shoulders, and back, and tenderness of the jaw muscles. Our physical therapist will work with you to minimize your pain and recommend exercises that will help.
